No. PowerWatch is intended for monitoring, historical analysis and decision support. It does not replace protective relays, circuit breakers or other electrical protection systems.
Can PowerWatch use our existing digital power meters?
Potentially yes. Existing meters can be evaluated for compatible communication interfaces, protocols, register availability and access. Compatibility should be confirmed before deployment.
What electrical parameters can PowerWatch monitor?
Typical parameters may include voltage, current, active power, apparent power, power factor, frequency and energy. The actual parameters depend entirely on the capabilities of the connected meter.
Can PowerWatch monitor power quality?
Power-quality-related monitoring depends on the measurement equipment used. Detailed events, harmonics or disturbance analysis require suitable instruments and an appropriately engineered architecture. PowerWatch should not be assumed to provide all power-quality functions with every meter.
Can we monitor several electrical panels?
