Does Siteplore replace our DCS?
No. Siteplore is positioned as a monitoring, data-integration and analytics layer. Existing DCS and PLC systems remain responsible for their engineered process-control functions.
Can Siteplore connect selected DCS or PLC data?
Potentially yes, where suitable communication, access permissions, data architecture and cybersecurity requirements allow it. Integration should be engineered for each site.
Does MachineGuard replace machinery protection?
No. MachineGuard provides retrofit condition monitoring and early-warning information. It does not replace dedicated vibration protection, overspeed protection or machinery trip systems.
Can Siteplore be installed in hazardous areas?
Hazardous-area suitability must not be assumed. Field hardware installed in classified areas requires the appropriate certified equipment, installation method and engineering review for the applicable area classification.
Can we use existing electrical meters?
Potentially yes. Existing meters can be assessed for communication interface, protocol, available registers and the parameters required for the monitoring objective.
Can Siteplore integrate existing sensors?
Existing sensors and instruments should be evaluated before new hardware is proposed. Integration depends on signal type, protocol, data availability, installation conditions and project requirements.
Is Siteplore a safety system?
No. Siteplore should not be used as a replacement for SIS, ESD, fire and gas, protective relay, emergency shutdown or other safety-critical systems.
Can Siteplore automatically shut down a pump?
The core Siteplore architecture is for monitoring, analytics and decision support. Automatic shutdown requires an appropriately engineered control or protection system separate from the monitoring layer.
Can MachineGuard diagnose exactly what is wrong with a machine?
MachineGuard can provide condition trends, deviations and analytical information. Detailed diagnosis depends on sensor capability, available signal data, machine characteristics and competent engineering interpretation.
Does every project require new sensors?
No. Existing instrumentation and system data should be evaluated first. Additional sensors are only required where meaningful monitoring gaps remain.
Does every petrochemical project require AI?
No. Reliable measurement, historical context and useful monitoring logic come first. Advanced analytics or AI should only be introduced where sufficient data quality, quantity and a justified operational use case exist.
